Finding top developers and development shops shouldn't be hard. matchist solves this problem.

matchist was created by entrepreneur Stella Fayman and freelance developer Tim Jahn. They saw an opportunity to help great projects find great developers. Stella heard story after story of companies getting burned outsourcing development with nightmare results. On the other side, Tim had a whole network of skilled freelance developers and dev shops who were sick of sitting in meetings and wanted a better way to meet great clients.

The two got together and created matchist as a way to solve this problem. By talking to hundreds of entrepreneurs and developers, Tim and Stella came up with a streamlined process for vetting developers and projects as well as an easy, secure payment system.

Tim Jahn (co-founder/CTO)Tim Jahn, co-founder of matchist

Tim Jahn is an entrepreneur who hails from Chicago.  Previously, he was a freelance web developer who experienced first hand how useless traditional tech recruiters can be for freelancers and what sorts of problems come with low quality clients.  He created matchist because it's the service he wished he had back in his freelancing days.

Tim is also co-founder of Entrepreneurs Unpluggd, a media and events company focused on helping early stage entrepreneurs.  In his spare time, Tim is either hanging out with his wife and son, thinking about his annual dancing Christmas lights display, or working on a solution to slow down time. Catch him on Twitter as well.
